BONK is a unique cryptocurrency token built on the Solana blockchain. It’s meme coin. I mention this at the beginning. Coin has distinct tokenomics and community-driven approach.
As like any other meme coin inspiration for BONK were popular “Cheems” meme and coin was initially launched as a free airdrop to the Solana community in December 2022. This is how all that started.
I mention about unique tokenomics and right now little bit about it.
Tokenomics of Bonk Coin
I will write again – huge part of the success strategy for crypto coin is tokenomics. Bonk tokenomics is just one of the examples community driven tokenomics. BONK’s tokenomics are designed to foster long-term sustainability and community involvement.
Maximum supply of 100 trillion tokens. Low price for unit attracts micro-transactions and gaming application in Solana ecosystem. Let’s break down tokenomics in detail.
Obviously for early contributors comes significant part – 20% of all tokens. Then, next 20% for 40 Solana NFT collections and 10% for Solana artists. In this point it’s 50% of whole supply. I can’t forget about Bonkdao – 15%, Bonk coin government DAO. Early openbook traders – another 15%. Together it’s 80% of all tokens on the market. What with the rest of supply?
20% of all supply is for Solana developers, marketing, team development and initial liquidity.
Have you any doubts that Bonk coin is community driven? I don’t and this break down clearly show this case.

On the first view it’s very eye-catching that price moves are event spikes. Price of the coin is listed on the exchanges little bit more than 2 years. For those reasons any cycle patterns can’t you watch it.
On this point it’s huge question mark what will happen with Bonk price in this and next bull market. Of course, during bear market it will be huge capital outflow.
We enjoy this bull market and during this bull market Bonk give fat Return of Investment (ROI). True at all it was risky, because of many reasons like meme genesis of coin, but…
From All Time Low in December 2022 you could gain 17534.8%. Who said that risk isn’t pay off? It’s, but sometimes risk rewards is way to high to invest in projects like this one. Anyway, Solana meme coins are in growing trend.
My research about trends and predictions in 2025 tell you this clearly. Solana and another meme coins were rocking during first part of bull run.
Bonk versus Other Meme Coins
I think on this point it’s good to compere this project with the biggest meme coins on the list – Doge, Shiba Inu, PEPE and Official Trump coin. I am really can’t wait to see results of this comparison.
For sure I won’t use all indicators, but 3 the most significant in my opinion. I mean by that, market capitalization, social presence and website visits. I know that they are not 100% give you assurance of success, but they are truly showing how much interest and involvement in community is.
Both together with marketing strategies drive price ups and downs.
Let’s take a look below for comparison.
Huge win in every aspect for Official Trump coin, but we would not be surprise because Trump presidency inauguration in January 2025. About this case I will write another time, but right now I pretend Trump coin is not on the list. Simply, because comparison is useless in this case. Trump is in another dimension of meme coins.
I come back to Bonk coin. Bonk is listed on the 100th the biggest cryptocurrency market caps. In comparison to PEPE can compete. DOGE and SHIBA INU are in own competition with favour to DOGE in this moment.
As like I have wrote before, Trump out of performance. Winning in all aspects and killing competition. This launch was epic in many levels. Simply woah!
Future of Bonk Coin
Future of Bonk coin would be 100% related to ecosystem involvement. If around this meme coins would be build another projects and community still will grow and stay loyal then coin can be even successful in next cryptocurrency cycle.
It way to early to say it’s will be good investment or not. It’s even not possible to write. Trading of this coins pay off as like as high risk taken.
I can’t be sure if, for example, during bear market coin will be not forgotten. It’s possible. There is proves of the cryptocurrency market that even reputable tokens like FTX were become scams.
I am always come back to this example, because it was huge wake up call for many investors and cryptocurrency traders.
Conclusions
Bonk coin is another meme coin among many popular meme coins. In this bull market you could gain a lot of money if you would be early contributor or early trader. It was some kind of occasion, but it’s not mean next bull run will be the same.
It’s very difficult write about meme coins in perspective a few year. In my opinion all community driven coins are high risk investments, but DAO government and uses cases of this coins can drive even more this coins to bigger success.
I am 100% honest, I am not recommending those kind of investment, because huge risk taken and a lot of people more lost than gain in case of meme coins. Bonk, at this point, is not any different than any other meme coins projects. Just keep this in mind.
